Burundi: Generals Evariste Ndayishimiye and Prime Niyongabo engage their men alongside the FDLR / FLN to attack Rwanda.
We said in our edition of March 01, 2021, deaths and injuries recorded by members of the FDNB (Burundi National Defence Force) are not justified when the fighting that began at the end of February 2021 at the border between Rwanda and Burundi initially concerned only the Rwandan rebels of the FDRL / FLN and the RDF. As already mentioned, it is these negative forces which had left their positions in the Kibira, on the Burundi side, and which attacked the Rwandan citizens. The Rwandan soldiers pushed them back and retreated to their old positions in the Kibira. Our hypothesis yesterday was whether the intervention of the Burundian military was to prevent Rwandan rebels who had attacked the neighbour from returning to their territory at the risk of provoking a clash between the two armies.
To our surprise, we learn that General Prime Niyongabo’s men have instead joined forces with the FDRL / FLN rebels to resume fighting against the Rwandan soldiers of the RDF. On March 01, 2021, our information sources told us that 30 military trucks full of Burundian soldiers were seen in Mabayi heading for the front (border between Rwanda and Burundi). These soldiers would be from the 54th Amisom Battalion who were in Muzinda. Information from the FDNB headquarters states that these soldiers received orders to fight until the Burundian border was completely cleared; which means, according to our source, not to hesitate to penetrate as far as Rwandan soil, regardless of the consequences. President Evariste Ndayishimiye and his Chief of General Staff Prime Niyongabo (at the same time his right-hand man) are determined to demonstrate force on his nemesis in the North, a civilian source positioned in Cibitoke told us who observed the passage of heavy weapons he had never seen.
Show of force, yes, but, it is a way of exposing the sons of the country for no good reason. Our sources of information within the FDNB tell us that so far, 7 Burundian soldiers have died, several wounded, two of whom are already registered. The wounded are not sent to the military hospital as usual, but are treated in military camps to avoid the disturbing gazes of civilians.
The question that remains so far is why are our children, the Burundian soldiers, dying? Why enter into a war which does not concern them directly? Why do Evariste Ndayishimiye and Prime Niyongabo decide to engage the children of Burundi in a Rwandan-Rwandan war? If the FDRL / FLN attack Rwanda for unknown motives, why should the Burundian military get involved? If it is true that Evariste Ndayishimiye took the option of giving these Rwandan rebels a rear base and logistical support, can he go so far as to hire his men to fight on their side? For what bad reason? For the defence of the border of Burundi (mission of the Burundian military)? He himself has already violated this border in advance by accepting that negative forces use it to attack a neighbouring country because the latter, if it deems it appropriate, can also assert its right of pursuit in the event of repetitive attacks.
The tension is therefore perceptible on the border between Burundi and Rwanda; the populations of the communes which border with Rwanda do not sleep peacefully, they fear that at one moment to the next, they risk fleeing their households following the fighting
URN HITAMWONEZA reminds Burundians and the international community what we have always told you that Evariste Ndayishimiye and his military clique have a project to provoke a genocide of Tutsis and Hutus of the opposition in Burundi and in the Great Lakes sub-region. France is behind this plan. Its resumption of cooperation (especially military cooperation) with the Gitega regime in violation of European Union sanctions is part of this logic. By militarily supporting the power of Evariste Ndayishimiye, France indirectly supports the negative forces of the FDRL / FLN which seek to disrupt Rwanda. Time is showing it to us by seeing the Burundian soldiers fighting alongside these Rwandan negative forces. We ask the Burundian military not to engage in a fight that does not concern them. We ask the population to fiercely oppose these leaders who light the fire that threatens to burn everything in its path. WhatsApp contact: +31685638237
