Burundi: President Ndayishimiye fattens three bulls at once: the SDF, the FDRL Interahamwe and the imbonerakure militia
The military clique in power in Burundi does not like to hear about the presence of the FDRL interahamwe in Burundi. Supporters of the cnddfdd will tell you that this is a lie because they either have no information about this case or know it and blindly adhere to it without knowing the danger it presents to them, to their system and to the country. All those who are aware of this situation cannot dare to say so while they are still on Burundian soil because they fear the cnddfdd’s killing machine.
But the reality is that Burundi is full of members of the fdrl interahamwe. Some have even been integrated into the Defence and Security Forces (FDS). Their leaders live in Burundi as if they were at home while there are international arrest warrants seeking them for having participated in the genocide of the Rwandan Tutsis in 1994. They receive news Burundian identity cards, (sometimes on false names), from the government of Allain Guillaume Bunyoni, Burundian passports to facilitate their mobility in the sub-region and around the world.
The reality is that after the operations carried out by the Congolese armed forces under the presidency of Felix Tchisekedi in eastern DR Congo, these negative forces which committed the genocide of the Tutsi in Rwanda felt cornered and fell back on Burundi where they occupy three major positions in Kibira between Mabayi commune and Bukinanyana. These positions are being supplied by a company of members of the Burundi national defence force located in the vicinity. We saw on social networks cans marked FDNB – Chinese manufacture; they were seized from an FDRL fighter captured in the field during the attack they carried out on southern Rwanda in June 2020.
Today, this presence of the FDLR on Burundian soil is beginning to negatively impact the average citizen. According to information received on some local radio stations in Burundi, a certain Jean Claude Ndayishimiye from Gafumbegeti hill, Butahana zone, Mabayi commune in Cibitoke province was attacked at his home by an armed group which killed him and injured his son. It was the night of September 28-29, 2020. The group reportedly came from the kibira and returned without difficulty. Ndahabonimana Nicodeme, administrator of Mabayi, contented himself with going to calm the population, asking them to remain united and to multiply the rounds. The governor of Cibitoke reported that security is total in his province, that its population in Bukinanyana commune was only afraid when they heard armed bandits who were reported in Kabarore commune in Kayanza
According to well-informed sources, Jean Claude Ndayishimiye is said to be killed by members of the fdrl interahamwe in the kibira. A punitive action because, being an imbonerakure, he allegedly embezzled the money he had to buy various items for these interahamwe. No one dares to talk about it for fear of suffering the same fate, but also to try to hide the presence of these negative forces on Burundian soil. But, you don’t hide the smoke when there is fire.
Jean Claude Ndayishimiye’s family should ask Evariste Ndayishimiye what these foreign elements are doing on Burundian soil. He has sufficient defence and security forces, he has imbonerakure who crisscross the country. If it is true that he maintains a third bull (the fdrl); the latter is likely to cause him a lot of trouble than he thinks. Jean Claude may be the first victim, tomorrow there will be others. Those who said it’s the horse you fatten that bites you may be right. These poor peasants who are forced to go and buy what is necessary for the survival of these interahamwe have what interest that these foreigners are on Burundian soil? Only Evariste Ndayishimiye and his ruling military clique who have signed agreements with them, who installed them and who maintain them know what they are playing. They are probably playing with fire because it is difficult to serve two masters at the same time (Matthew 6:24)
He is bad advisor anyone who would have told Evariste Ndayishimiye that his peace and quiet as well as that of his group will be guaranteed after eliminating all the Tutsis in the region. Wanting to disrupt your neighbour’s safety and believe that this is your way of protecting yourself is more than silly. A Rundi proverb says that when a neighbour’s house burns down, help extinguish or yours can also be damaged.
Evariste Ndayishimiye and the ruling military clique have already shown the defence and security forces that they no longer have full self-confidence; otherwise they would not have trained and armed imbonerakure, they would not have integrated interahamwe into their close guards. They are wrong when they believe that no one notices. These Burundian forces watch and are silent; military discipline requires. But, the moment will come when Evariste Ndayishimiye will be bitten by this foreign horse that he is fattening or quite simply will have caused him serious trouble without having any possibility of using these defence and security forces that he humiliated.
URN HITAMWONEZA will never stop shouting to whoever would listen to let it be known that the power of Gitega has made Burundi a centre of all the negative forces in the sub-region which have no other goals than to commit genocide. That the countries concerned or the countries of the East African community, instead of helplessly watching this phenomenon, take the necessary steps to nip the project in the bud while it is still possible. We are aware that some heads of state support this bloodthirsty project of the Ndayishimiye power, but we believe that they will not be able to defend it immediately. They are only able to defeat meetings, but souls of good will would not prevent them from continuing. The truth will eventually triumph; the good will overcome the evil.
