Burundi: Evariste Ndayishimiye first visit to his godfather Magufuli to ask him for advice on the management of the interahamwe present in Burundi
After 100 days in power, President Ndayishimiye made on September 19, 2020, a one-day official visit to Kigoma. After the electoral holdup of May 2020, former Tanzanian dignitaries including Jakaya Kikwete reportedly advised Evariste Ndayishimiye to end impunity, fight corruption and flagrant human rights violations in order to restore the image of the cnddfdd so that it can stay in power for a long time like chama cha mapinduzi (CCM)

Remember the late President Nkurunziza who initiated the demarcation of the border between Burundi and Tanzania, establishing separation markers at a time when the whole world knows that Bugufi is a territory of Burundi but which was attached to Tanzania by the Orts-Milner conventions. The Cap-Cairo railway which should be traced was not, the Belbases concession was not effective, Burundi does not operate them, therefore, the Bugufi should return by right to Burundi. It is understandable then that the cnddfdd remains with its godfather and Tanzania must fight anything that opposes Gitega’s power.
