Burundi: FDNB suffers a bitter failure in the presence of Generals Evariste Ndayishimiye and Gervais Ndirakobuca
The information written in our previous edition of yesterday March 2, 2021 was correct as it had been provided by a reliable source. The attempt by the men of Evariste Ndayishimiye and Prime Niyongabo to attack Rwanda under cover of the FDLR / FLN took place yesterday, in the presence of Generals Evariste Ndayishimiye and Gervais Ndirakobuca alias Ndakugarika who had travelled to the area to support the troops on the ground. They returned late in the evening after a bitter failure of their men who tried to break through by three points: Bweyeye-Marura-Gasumo ka Kaburantwa. They had to face a reinforced concrete wall, difficult to cross and impossible to pierce. On the other hand, they left too many gums there. A soldier who was part of the operation that gave us the information says that they suffered a lot of losses to the point that they decided to abandon their project because having found that it is practically impossible to continue if they didn’t all want to die. They took the option of turning back. Generals Evariste Ndayishimiye and Gervais Ndirakobuca returned discouraged; perhaps they will no longer think of causing wars they cannot win. Perhaps they also saw for themselves that the FDLR/ FNL they support, even if they allied themselves with them with all their might, will never be able to break through the RDF wall. We dare to hope that the arrogance displayed by this military clique in power in Gitega towards Rwanda will now decrease and will accept talks to find a definitive solution to these genocidaires who are taking it easy in Burundi and who take the opportunity to disrupt security Rwandan citizens.
Note that after this failure of the FDNB in its presence, Evariste Ndayishimiye directly requested that reinforcements be sent to the sector as soon as possible. No sooner said than done. The soldiers of the 60th Amisom Battalion took their weapons directly, bags on their backs and left on foot from Ku Mudubugu to Cibitoke. On the same day, soldiers from the 61st Amisom Battalion subsequently packed up and left for Kayanza. You will understand that all will be deployed on the border of Burundi with Rwanda. Could it be for another attack attempt or just to strengthen the defence for fear of being attacked? Time will show it to us.
We have said it and we will say it again; Gitega’s power claims in relation to the so-called 2015 coup plotters who would be hosted in Rwanda, who are not disrupting the security of Burundi, cannot be a pretext for Evariste Ndayishimiye and his military clique to support negative forces to attack a neighbouring country and disrupt the peace of Rwandan citizens.
Now that President Ndayishimiye has seen for himself that supporting these genocidaires is a waste of time, he will accept frank talks to find lasting solutions to the conflicts which have just lasted more than 5 years and which have caused enormous losses for the two countries. Poor citizens need to travel freely between the two states, they eagerly await the resumption of trade
As a reminder, the officials of the intelligence services and the heads of diplomacy of the two countries met at the Rwando-Burundian border of Gasenyi / Nemba on August 26, 2020 and October 20, 2020 respectively. Some media reported that d other unofficial meetings were reportedly organized in Kigali and Bujumbura. The results of all these exchanges were only negative because instead of being appeased, the tensions rather mounted. Attack attempts on Rwanda by elements of the FDLR / FLN from the DRC and passing through Burundi with a warm welcome and logistical support, have multiplied. Which means that the talks were only a sort of deterrent to allow these negative forces to prepare themselves so that they could launch their attacks. There was no will to find a solution to the conflict.
URN HITAMWONEZA once again advises the Burundian soldiers who have sworn in defence of territorial integrity and protection of the population and their property, not to get involved in short-lived political affairs. The men in power pass, the country remains. And you will not go with them, you will remain at the service of the Burundians, of the Nation. So avoid following muttering what these leaders tell you lacking a national vision who are only seeking to instrumentalize you for their interests. Tomorrow they will light the fire, when they see the situation getting more and more complicated, they will fly away and you will stay in one place to put it out at the risk of your lives. You have agreed to shed blood for the good of the people and the Nation and not for the members of a political party. You are called to be disciplined and to respect orders given, but we remind you that clearly illegal orders are never carried out. WhatsApp contact: +31685638237
