Burundi: The military clique in power is ready to move on to the final phase of the genocide underway since 2005 (part 8)
Our approach continues its path to succeed in demonstrating that the acts of killings carried out by the military clique in power since 2005 are acts of genocide; a genocide long started by Hutu extremists that the power of Evariste Ndayishimiye is preparing to complete and spread throughout the sub-region.
We had already reviewed the 5 (classification, symbolization, discrimination, dehumanization and organization) of the 10 stages of genocide as described by Gregory H. Stanton. We have already shown that the military clique in power has indeed followed these steps. Today we are entering the 6th step which is “Polarization” which Gregory defines as “amplification of differences between groups through propaganda.” Prohibition of interactions between groups. Murder of moderate members of the “oppressive” group.
Former President Pierre Nkurunziza, by taxing Tutsis as “ Mujeri ” = skinny dog, he demonstrated in his speech that there is a difference between Hutus, strong, and Tutsis, Mujeri, skinny and weak dogs, who do not rely only on their cries without having the strength to act.
Kenny Claude Nduwimana, spokesperson for the genocidaires of the cnddfdd, continues to propagate on social networks that the Tutsis are not like the Hutus, that they are people who do not like work, who feed only on blood Hutus; reason why they do not multiply like the Hutus. He even manages to say that the Tutsis are not Burundians, that they came from elsewhere.
In his propaganda, he protests against the Hutus who dare to marry Tutsi girls and women or quite simply who dare to frequent Tutsi cabarets, shops and stores. He invites the Hutus to show solidarity and avoid spending their money on Tutsi businesses. The situation is not far from the example given by Gregory who says that “as of July 1938, Jewish doctors were prohibited from treating” Aryan “patients”. In Burundi, Kenny Claude and Hutu extremists like him would not want to see a Hutu doctor treat a Tutsi and vice versa. We’re not there yet, but we’re heading straight for that with the ongoing ethnic censuses.
The anti-Tutsi propaganda has reached such a degree that the Hutus who collaborate with the Tutsis are seen as traitors and may be possible targets. Everyone remembers the demonstrations against Nkurunziza’s illegal and illegitimate third term in 2015. All the Hutus who rallied to this “stop the third term” campaign were either killed, imprisoned or forced into exile. Those who had the misfortune of being apprehended have been tortured with insults that they are playing the game of the Tutsi without knowing it. Some were even released with instructions to go and mobilize the other Hutus so as not to participate in these demonstrations which, according to these Hutu extremists, were aimed at overthrowing the power of the Hutus and once again putting the Tutsis on the throne.
URN HITAMWONEZA believes that Burundians should stop being Hutu or Tutsi and be primarily Burundians. These Hutu extremists who seek all the time to exterminate the Tutsi are not doing it for the interest of the average Hutu; he has no problem with the average Tutsi. They do it to stay in power because they have no other social project that aims for the fulfilment and development of the people to present. The proof is that since 2005 the country has not backed down economically; today, Burundi ranks second among the poorest countries in the world. We must then manage to put in place a unifying leadership, which puts to music all the energies of all the children of the country without exception. It is only under this condition that we will emerge from this deep hole into which the military clique has plunged us, with no hope of getting out if it is not ousted from power.
